Jan Finneran

Dr. Jan Finneran, DNP, FNP-BC is the Chair of Graduate Nursing Programs and Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing at Walsh University. She originally came to Walsh University in 2013 to assist in the development of the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program as well as to teach clinical courses in the program. She was coordinator of the FNP program for six years before assuming her current role. Dr. Finneran currently teaches in the BSN-DNP program at Walsh University. Her research interests include role transition for new nurse practitioners. Dr. Finneran has significant grant writing experience and has been the project director for several grants awarded to Walsh University including a Health and Human Services Administration (HRSA) Advanced Nursing Education Grant and other grants through the Ohio Board of Nursing and a local community foundation. Her advanced practice nursing experience is in primary care and community health.
