Tracey Herstich

Dr. Tracey Herstich has been in the nursing field for over 20 years, beginning her nursing career as a pediatric nurse. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Akron University and is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in both primary and acute care.

She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Walsh University. Her experience as a nurse practitioner includes pediatric intensive care and working collaboratively with cardiologists and pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons to provide care for children with complex congenital cardiac defects.

Dr. Herstich left her full-time clinical position in 2016 to join Walsh University as a full-time faculty member and currently teaches in both the graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. Dr. Herstich maintains a clinical practice at Akron Children’s Hospital. Dr. Herstich has global health experience both caring for patients internationally and leading student experiential learning opportunities.
