Bio
Dr. Jiyoung Moon earned her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor–Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas, a Registered Play Therapist–Supervisor (RPT-S), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also a Certified Play Therapy Supervisor with the Korean Association for Play Therapy. Dr. Moon has several years of experience in counselor education and supervision and brings extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both Korea and the United States. Her clinical interests include physical and sexual trauma, as well as developmental trauma in children and adolescents. Her research interests include play therapy, trauma and crisis counseling, and multicultural and diversity issues in counselor education. Dr. Moon joined Walsh University in 2025.
