Ruthann Anderson

Associate Professor, Coordinator of the School Counseling Track

Dr. Anderson is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory status in Ohio and has 30 years of experience as a mental health counselor, supervisor, agency administrator, and private practitioner. She began serving as a counselor educator in 2009. She has a Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Dayton University and a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University. Dr. Anderson works in the community setting with people of all age ranges and mental health issues, with a special focus on survivors of trauma and women’s issues. Her professional interests include clinical mental health counseling, supervision of clinical mental health counselors, counselor education issues related to multicultural awareness, gender, power, victimization, ethics, and the development of the working alliance between counselor and client.
